Partisan attack on Poganek. Six of the 44 German border guards captured during the Partisan attack on the Poganek Castle (near Litija). They are mostly elderly men of Austrian origin, with low combat morale, happy to be out of the war. Upon capture, the Partisans took their uniforms (except for the caps) and boots away, giving them their ragged (civilian) clothes in return. (The castle that the border guards defended was torched.) Also pictured is a Partisan guard, a member of the XV Slovenian Division.
