Operation "Ball Lightning". With guns and mortars against Tito's Partisans (the term used in the original, propaganda caption was "Tito's gangs"); members of the 901st Armoured Grenadier Training Regiment fire at the encircled Partisans, who entrenched themselves in a village. In the foreground is a crew of a GrW 34 heavy mortar, and the camouflaged half-track is a well known Sd.Kfz. 251 – variant 10, with mounted 37 mm Pak 36 anti-tank gun.
