Operation 25. Members of the 9th Armoured Division taking a break at the Deve Bair border crossing next to a burning Yugoslav border post, which they torched for propaganda purposes. The German press would later write: "Before they fled, Serbian customs officers set their border post on fire." In reality, during the retreat, Yugoslav troops (not customs officers) did not torch their border posts. They destroyed only what might have been useful to the enemy: military warehouses, aircrafts, ships, bridges... The soldiers who (bravely) defended the border at the Deve Bair did not flee but were captured, as can be seen in one of other photos by the same German photographer; also seen in that picture is this very same, at the time still not torched, border post.

Operacija 25. Pripadnici 9. oklopne divizije u predahu na graničnom prelazu Deve bair pored plamteće jugoslovenske karaule, koju su zapalili u propagandne svrhe. Kasnije će u nemačkoj štampi pisati: "Pre nego što su pobegli, srpski carinici su svoju karaulu zapalili." U stvarnosti, jugoslovenska vojska (a ne carinici) pri povlačenju nije palila karaule. Uništavano je samo ono što je neprijatelju moglo biti od koristi: vojni magacini, avioni, brodovi, mostovi... Vojnici koji su granicu (hrabro) branili na Deve bairu nisu bežali nego su zarobljeni, kao što se vidi na jednoj od drugih slika istog nemačkog fotografa; na toj slici se takođe vidi ova ista, tada još uvek nezapaljena, karaula.
