Operation 25. Members of the Bicycle Squadron, 183rd Infantry Division, heading towards Ptuj through one of the nearby villages, 8 April 1941. In the meantime, in the town itself, acts of sabotage are being carried out by members of the so-called Illegal Company, an ethnic German unit secretly formed a few years before the war, and trained for sabotage and military operations. Ptuj was captured on the same day, at half past two in the afternoon.
