As they were strolling along the Dalmatian coast in search of interesting topics for their reports, SS war correspondents, attached to the SS Division "Prinz Eugen", stopped in Trsteno near Dubrovnik, impressed by the giant plane trees at the entrance to the Gučetić family residence (today's Trsteno Arboretum). According to the custom that is still being practised by numerous visitors of this beautiful park, the "tourists" in SS uniforms also tried (unsuccessfully) to embrace one of the famous, over four centuries old giants.
