Recruitment poster for mountain troops of the Waffen-SS. All SS mountain divisions except for the 6th "Nord" were formed to fight the Yugoslav insurgents: 7th "Prinz Eugen", 13th "Handschar" and 21st "Skanderbeg". (Formations of the 23rd "Kama" and the 24th Karst Jäger divisions were also started, but were never completed.) They consisted mainly of local volunteers – ethnic Germans, Croats, Bosnian Muslims and Kosovo Albanians – and were remembered primarily for numerous war crimes.

(Formiranje 23. "Kama" i 24. kraškolovačke divizije takođe je bilo započeto, ali ne i dovršeno.) Bile su sastavljene uglavnom od domaćih dobrovoljaca – folksdojčera, Hrvata, bosanskih muslimana i kosovskih Albanaca – i upamćene su prvenstveno po mnogobrojnim ratnim zločinima.
