A four-barrelled anti-aircraft gun of the SS Division "Prinz Eugen" – above the most popular beach in Dubrovnik, the Banje Beach. In the background on the right, there is the famous Hotel "Excelsior" from 1913, in which the Germans had settled their headquarters (which is why it would be bombed by the Allies the following year). After the war, a number of celebrities would be staying in the hotel, such as the British Queen Elizabeth II, Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, revolutionary Che Guevara, actors Orson Welles and Richard Burton, philosopher J. P. Sartre, conductor Herbert von Karajan, director F. F. Coppola and many others. The "Excelsior" still stands on the same spot today, expanded and modernised.

Posle rata, u hotelu će odsedati mnogobrojne poznate ličnosti, poput britanske kraljice Elizabete II, sovjetskog vođe Mihaila Gorbačova, revolucionara Če Gevare, glumaca Orsona Velsa i Ričarda Bartona, filozofa Ž. P. Sartra, dirigenta Herberta fon Karajana, režisera F. F. Kopole i mnogih drugih. "Ekscelzior" na istom mestu stoji i danas, proširen i modernizovan.
